![]() Now, the only solution I found is to connect the SSD externally from the USB and run the operating system from there. I bought a cable compatible with my notebook through iFixit. ![]() I changed the cable once again, but the same drama happened. So, I changed the cable and the macbook was up and running again! Unfortunately, this lasted for a couple of weeks: the problem appeared again and I have a fleshing folder with a question mark at startup. Digging around the forums, it turned out the problem could be related to the SATA cable. This was fine until the pc was not able to boot anymore. The only way to recover the laptop was to issue an hard reboot each time this happened. ![]() ![]() It worked, but at some point (after few weeks) the system started to get stuck. I tried to upgrade my macbook pro (13-inch, Early 2011 - OSX Sierra 10.12.1, all specs below*) with an SSD Crucial MX300. ![]()
